Gamifying waste disposal? The Litter Lotto app rewards people for disposing of litter properly by entering them into a monthly prize draw for doing so. Participants get the chance to win prizes ranging from £5 to £10,000. Players can take part by downloading the Litter Lotto app and uploading a picture of themselves disposing of their litter (or someone else’s) into a bin. According to Wales247, Newport City Council in Wales is taking part in the scheme, offering residents the chance to win prizes for putting their rubbish into a council bin. Full story here
