The weekend festival promises to be a jubilant homage to nature's transition, as the vibrant hues of summer yield to the contemplative embrace of autumn. With the equinox marking the balance between light and darkness, you’re invited to join in the communal revelry, dance, ritual and moments of introspection, harnessing the energy of seasonal change.

This September 10th - 11th, Abb-d Taiyo, will be speaking at B Corp’s two day festival, Louder Than Words, with Design Declares.


Material Matters 18–21 September 2024,

One of the many highlights of the show will be London based designer, Sanne Visser, best known for a series of installations and products using human hair. She will be show casing Locally Grown, an installation that invites you to explore your hair as a new material. Visitors will be able to interact and become part of the work with a free haircut, then watch as their hair is spun into rope. You can listen to her on the latest Material Matters podcast here

Mark Miodownik will kick off the Talks Programme with Grant Gibson at the show. As a professor of materials at University College London, and director of the Institute of Making, – Miodownik will be discuss the importance and properties of gas. Why most gases are invisible, odourless and tasteless? Why do some poison us and others make us laugh? And why do some power our engines while others make drinks fizzy?

Back to Nature - bringing the outside in at Roca London Gallery.

‘Meet the Makers’ night, as part of the Bio-Spaces exhibition and London Design Festival.

In a fast-paced Pecha Kucha style series of presentations, brands whose products and materials help bring nature indoors and designers who create those natural spaces, will each explain in six minutes how they do it and why.

Finally, ahead of Equinox in a couple of weeks, you may like to watch The Nightingale’s Song by Adam Loften and Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee. The film follows folk singer Sam Lee, as he joins this elusive bird in spontaneous song.
