Good News for the Climate!

However, as Architects Declare point out this is merely the beginning of a long road of change - In their Building Blocks manifesto, they detail specific policies and actions for the built environment which, if implemented, would have a marked impact on the reduction of carbon emissions in the UK and restoring our relationship with nature.

They are actively urging policy makers and parliamentarians to support and share these suggestions - visit their linktree (here) for all of their resources.

But how much will this help the UK’s efforts to tackle climate change – and is it worth the huge price tag?

Mark Poynting and Justin Rowlatt from BBC Climate & Science discuss it here (here)

Jon Alexander (author of Citizens) argues that Kier Starmer missed a huge opportunity to emphasise the importance of involving citizens in achieving Britains clean energy goals by 2030, he references Ambition Lawrence Weston a community organisation who commissioned and owns the largest wind turbine in the UK, generating power and sparking local pride and community revitalization, in North West Bristol.
