London will host the World Design Congress 2025 after a bid led by the Design Council, with support from UKRI, the Greater London Authority, the Mayor of London, DCMS and others. The theme will be Design for Planet, building on the Design Council’s own mission to put the planet's needs at the heart of the country's design agenda. This will be just the second time that the UK has hosted the World Design Congress, the last time being 1969 when the event was held at the South Bank. It will run from 17-19 September 2025 to coincide with the London Design Festival. Wallpaper has the full story here
