The full agenda for Design Council’s Design for Planet Festival 2023 has been announced. This year’s event will run online from 17-18 October. The day 1 keynote will be from Rosie Murphy of Architects Climate Action Network. Panel topics include “Designing our way out of the energy crisis”, and “Designing with communities”, while the day will need wit a keynote by design anthropologist, researcher and writer, Dr Dori Tunstall, Dean of Design at OCAD University. Day 2 features Fairphone’s Bas van Abel, panels on future mobility needs, “Climate justice through housing design”, and “Designing our future food systems”. And talking of major design events, London Design Festival returns from 16-24 September. A key part of the events will be the Global Design Forum series of talks and discussions which will be hosted at the V&A Museum in South Kensington on 16, 17, 20 and 21 September. Speakers include Yinka Ilori, Dr Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stépanian, Yves Béhar and Natsai Audrey Chieza. Full details here
