Despite headline-grabbing pledges to go carbon neutral, 27% of CEOs report being ‘not concerned at all’ or ‘not very concerned’ about climate change in PwC’s  24th Annual Global CEO Survey. An “elite minority” of frequent flyers cause most of the climate damage resulting from aviation’s emissions, according to a report from Possible, featured in The Guardian. Possible wants a frequent flyer levy, whereby the first flight in a year incurs little or no tax (so as not to penalise annual family holidays) but then the levy then ramps up for each additional flight. “An all-electric airliner could be flying passengers between European cities in about five years,” according to The Times. French start-up Aura Aero, a Toulouse-based company founded in 2018 by former Airbus engineers, is developing a 6-propeller, 19-seat Electric Regional Aircraft made of carbon-wood. More here
